After drying her hair using his fingers to create defined texture, the fringe was smoothed straight with slight volume by using a large round brush. Next, he took the top and sides lifting them slightly before securing with pins for a slight bump. The bottom section was curled with a large barrel curling iron to create loose waves. To finish he finger combed the hair with IT&LY HAIRFASHION’s Pure Definition Hairspray to loosen the waves with a medium holding spray.

Behind the Cover of Jennifer's British Vogue Shoot

"I WAS really excited about meeting her," said Vogue's fashion editor Francesca Burns, who first became enamoured with Jennifer Lawrence after watching the 2010 hit Winter's Bone last Christmas. "I thought it was an incredible film. She's so becoming in it and I thought she was a really brilliant actress," explained Burns of the performance that earned Lawrence an Oscar nomination - she was the second youngest actress ever to be nominated for Best Actress Academy Award accolade.

"I didn't want to shoot high fashion on her, she's a really cool Californian type of girl and the fashion this season was so directional - all those heavy jacquard and graphic prints - it just didn't feel right," said Burns. The upshot? A series of chunky, slouchy knits with homespun appeal, including Bottega Veneta's waffle sweater; Ashley Williams' update on a fisherman's rib; a cashmere cable knit from Christopher Kane; and a beaded jumper by Burberry. 

What's next for Lawrence? Amongst other film projects on the cards, she has the sequel to The Hunger Games, the film that catapulted her onto Hollywood's radar, which is being released next year along with her second X-Men film, Day of Future Past hitting screens in 2014. Uber-stardom beckons for the girl Burns described as: "so cool, so easy and so likeable. She's the kind of girl you could know or want to know. And she's hilariously funny!"

'Silver Lining's Playbook' wins Audience Award at TIFF

The audience award, which is the festival's highest honor and is determined by festivalgoers, has been one of the better harbingers of Oscar success since it was first presented in 1978. Almost all of its 34 previous winners went on to garner attention from the Academy. Collectively, they have accounted for 105 Oscar nominations, including 10 for best picture and nine for best foreign language film. 39 of those nominations resulted in Oscar wins, including four for best picture (Chariots of Fire, American Beauty,Slumdog Millionaire, and The King's Speech). This has helped to cement TIFF’s reputation as one of the first important stops on the awards trail, along with the Telluride Film Festival that precedes it by a week.

Silver Linings was thought to be a serious contender for the audience award ever since it premiered at the fest two Saturday nights ago. It was one of only a small handful of films to receive a standing ovation this year -- festivalgoers here give them out far less easily than their counterparts at Cannes or Venice -- with the others being Juan Antonio Bayona'sThe Impossible; Andy Wachowski, Lana Wachowski, and Tom Tykwer's Cloud Atlas; Nikolaj Arcel's A Royal Affair; Ben Lewin's The Sessions; and Wayne Blair'sThe Sapphires.

Based on the buzz out of Toronto, it seems likely that the film will be a serious contender for Oscar nominations in the following categeories: best picture, best director (Russell), best actor (Cooper), best actress (Lawrence), best supporting actor (De Niro), best supporting actress (Weaver), and best adapted screenplay (Russell).

JENNIFER LAWRENCE has landed her first ever Vogue cover, starring on the November issue - out on sale on Saturday October 6. The 22-year-old is the second youngest Best Actress Oscar nominee of all time (the youngest was then-13-year-old Keisha Castle-Hughes in Whalerider), and found global fame after playing warrior heroine Katniss Everdeen in the film version of Suzanne Collins' book, The Hunger Games.

A star unequivocally on the rise, Lawrence hits our cinema screens again this month with horror film House At The End Of The Street, then again in December with drama-comedy Silver Lining Playbook - alongside Robert de Niro, Julia Stiles and Bradley Cooper. Although she's built a name for herself as being one of Hollywood's more low-key starlets, she's also known for her impressive red carpet prowess - although what she wears isn't something that bothers her actor boyfriend,Nicholas Hoult. The pair worked together on X-Men: First Class, which was released last year.

"Oh, he really doesn't care," she said. "Like he'll sometimes wear these white tennis shoes with jeans, then tuck his pants into his socks. He has absolutely no idea how good-looking he is. I think a lot of women and men hate me because of that."
